What materials and services do you offer?
The Frank B. Koller Memorial Library has a large selection of adult fiction and non-fiction, childrens and young adult books, CDs, video tapes, DVDs, CD-ROM educational games, magazines, puzzles, audio cassettes, books on tape, books on CD and paperbacks.
Many items are also available through
merlin, the cooperative catalog of the Northern Waters Library Service. All patrons may take advantage of inter-library loan services if the items they are looking for are not owned by the Frank B. Koller Memorial Library or another Merlin library.

We also offer several online services for use both in the library and at home. See the

Who is eligible for library service?
All residents and property owners of the Town of Manitowish Waters, and of adjacent communities who are part of the
Northern Waters Library System, are eligible for service at no charge.
Visitors of Manitowish Waters and adjacent communities are also eligible for service upon completion of the necessary registration forms.
Children under 16 will be required to have a parents signature.
How many items can I check out?
Each cardholder is allowed up to
fifteen (15) items per card at any time, with a maximum of
five (5) videotapes and/or DVDs.
Books, CDs, audio tapes and most other items are available for a 3 week loan period. Books on the "new" shelves are available for a 2 week loan period. Videotapes and DVDs are available for a
5 day loan.
Do you have internet access?
Yes, the library has high-speed internet computers available to the public. This service is available at no charge,
and is available first-come,
first-serve to all library
visitors.

A black and white printer is available, and we ask for a donation of 10¢ per printed page. Computer use is limited to
45 minutes when other patrons are waiting.
Do you have a copy machine?
We do have a copy machine and a fax machine for public use. We ask for a donation of 10¢ per copy (or 15¢ for double-sided copies) and of $1.00 per page for faxes. We also have a cold-laminating machine that can laminate an unlimited length, up to 12" wide. We ask for a $2 donation per 8.5" x 11" sheet of lamination.
What are the penalties for overdue materials?
Most materials are available to be renewed for 3 additional weeks. New fiction titles, videotapes, DVDs and books on a reserve list for other patrons cannot be renewed. Renewals may be made in person, by phone or through the
online Merlin catalog.
Fines for overdue materials will be 5¢ per day for each day the library is open. Fines on videotapes, DVDs and on marked new adult fiction books will be 25¢ per day. Patrons will be charged the full replacement fee for any items lost or damaged beyond repair.
Who can use the meeting room space at the library?
The Sullivan Room, constructed in 1988 and donated by Robert Sullivan in honor of his father, Willis G. Sullivan, is available as meeting space for community organizations. Contact the librarian to view the meeting room policy or to schedule use of the room.
