Search our online library catalog with merlin, the shared catalog of 30+ Northern Waters Library System libraries. You can check your library record, renew books, and reserve most items from this catalog with your Koller Library card.

Wiscat - the catalog for public and academic libraries in the state of Wisconsin. If you can't find what you are looking for in merlin, contact a librarian about requesting items from Wiscat through inter-library loan.
Patrons of the Northern Waters Library Service also have access to netLibrary. Our netLibrary collection includes a nice selection of ebooks and you can check out and read on your home computer. Stop in at the Koller Library to register for an account.
OverDrive downloadable audio books are now available as a service of the Wisconsin Public Library Consortium. OverDrive allows you to select and download audio books to play directly on your computer, on an MP3 player, or burn to a CD. You will need to install a small program on your computer, the free OverDrive Media Console, in order to use this service, and will need your library card number. Contact a librarian with any questions you may have about this exciting new service.
Badgerlink is a service available to all residents of Wisconsin. It contains full text for a large selection of magazines and newspapers, as well as a number of other excellent references.

LibriVox
free online audio books

  LibriVox volunteers record chapters of books in the public domain, and then release the audio files back onto the net. The objective is to make all books in the public domain available, for free, in audio format on the internet. The books can be downloaded as a podcast, onto an iPod or other portable player, or burned onto CDs. A totally volunteer, open source, free content, public domain project. Also, check out their links to other online audio and book projects.

   Project Gutenberg is the first and largest single collection of free electronic books, or eBooks. Project Gutenberg tries to make information, books and other materials available to the general public in forms a vast majority of the computers, programs and people can easily read, use, quote, and search. They offer books and other texts that are in the public domain.
  Google Book Search allows you to search the full text of books to find ones that interest you and learn where to buy or borrow them.
