The Frank B. Koller Memorial Library is located on Highway 51, just north of the airport and community center in Manitowish Waters, Vilas County, Wisconsin. We are a community library supported by the generosity, both of time and donations, of the area residents and visitors.
Map to library
We've got a mess goin' at the library. There's now a trench in the concrete floor to wire some stuff for the circulation desk. Wow...we've needed this ever since books have been checked out by computer. (which is quite a while now).
We ARE still open during the beginning stages of our construction.
We will be closed Feb 17th through at least March 1st.
Beginning Feb 3rd patrons will be able to check out library materials for an extended period of time. Also, more than the usual number of items may be checked out. The more patrons check out, the less we'll have to move!
What the new carpet will look like
New carpet is coming, and everything has to be off the floor before that happens! Recently, part of the circulation desk was removed.
Recently we had a fun movie night at the library. A good-sized crowd turned out and had a nice time. Popcorn, pizza and soda were served.
Return of the Jedi was shown. Here are some photos from the event:
Luke, I am your father!
Rebel vs. Imperial popcorn!
